On my very languorous hike today, I meditated on the idea of schematic diagrams. I was obsessed, and kept flow-charting my life with arrows, boxes, words. Some might call this a neurosis. I call it inventive mental dwelling. I imagined how would one verbally represent the transitions of a schematic from a hard copy. Schematics must be bound to visual representation as the sole means of effective communication. How could you talk through the in-between box connections as though it were a creative text? I am intrigued. And I have no knowledge, nor have I made a schematic diagram. I like the word, schematic, it seems to stumble over itself eloquently: s-c-h. Somewhere there exists (on the Internet) a schematic diagram for making a stove out of an aluminum can. The author? My new hero.
Also, the rocks in Montana have a wide variety of vibrant colors. Like a shiny object, I am drawn to them. And "Gangsta's Paradise?" Good schematic-dwelling background music for those late-night blogging posts.
