Jamesville...

::Sigh:: I'm here, perpetually glued to the computer until my seasonal unemployment ends in a couple of weeks. I'm waxing nostalgia (great phrase, bytheway) about Jamesville, NY. I was born there. My cat, Benjamin Franklin, lived there-- sometimes even escaped to the outdoors onto pure Jamesville earth. I have friends from there. We read the Jamesville bulletin, The Hamlet when we return home. Some of us know the winery there, Pheasant Ridge Winery. The owners will show you the two-car-garage-sized bottling plant in the back.

We have a wee little pub, O'Sheas, with a vending machine comprised totally of chip bags from Terrell's and a massively wonderful and complex computerized jukebox with Matchbook 20 and Prince on tap.

We have state parks( see postcard). Our staple figure, Jamesville Elementary school principle Bob Catney, graces the "images" section of our very own Jamesville Museum website @ jamesvillemuseum.org (see Bob below).

I heart my small hometown in upstate New York.
